Are you a passionate chef who knows their craft, enjoys working with fresh ingredients, and values a well-organized kitchen? Then we are looking for you! As an independent chef, you are a crucial part of our hospitable hotel kitchen, ensuring delicious dishes and smooth kitchen operations every day.

Wat ga je doen?

  • Independently prepare hot and cold dishes according to planning and recipes.
  • Lead (part-time) assistant chefs and coach apprentices or interns.
  • Ensure a well-organized mise en place and monitor quality during service.
  • Oversee compliance with HACCP, health & safety, and workplace regulations.
  • Manage stock for your section, place orders on time, and maintain proper storage.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Contribute ideas for menus, recipes, and process improvements within the kitchen.
  • Act as the point of contact on the floor in the absence of the head chef.

Functie-eisen

What do you bring? Vocational education working and thinking level, preferably in culinary arts or hospitality. Proven experience as an independent working chef. Passion for cooking and solid knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients. Understanding of kitchen organization, stock management, and quality control. Ability to motivate, train, and guide others. Structured approach, attention to detail, and ability to perform well under pressure. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Physically fit: comfortable with standing work and lifting supplies.
